On Saturday, November 20, 2010 was held the 1st meeting of the State Council of Students of Chemical Engineering (CEEIQ) in the School of Industrial Engineers (ETSII) of the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid (UPM).
This first meeting dealt with the first lines of organization and contact with other areas involved in the promotion of chemical engineering. Held the first elections to the Board of CEEIQ who presided over the months as founder, CEO of Students of the Polytechnic University of Madrid.
CEEIQ The main objective is to give visibility to the opinion of the students of Chemical Engineering at the time that we reform the law on regulated professions and after a long time without recognized professional duties.

Helsinn with the Irish Tánaiste and Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment Mary Coughlan TD, announced that Helsinn Holding SA will establish a center of excellence in research and development for oral solid dosage (OSD) in its plant Helsinn Birex Pharmaceuticals, one of four companies on site at Mulhuddart (Dublin). The investment of over EUR 13 million is backed by the government through IDA Ireland, and plans to create 10 posts of high research value. Helsinn's main business is the licensee of the late stage pharmaceutical compounds in therapeutic niche areas for development and subsequent manufacturing and distribution business. The company operates primarily in cancer palliative care, gastrointestinal and anti-inflammatory treatments. The investment is part of the strategic decision to strengthen their capacity Helsinn internal development.
The Tánaiste said: "This investment will establish the Irish operation as the Center for Knowledge and Learning for products in the OSD Helsinn Group and also the site of launch for new products within its portfolio. Strategically it is very important for the Irish operation, located in the center of R & D Helsinn.
